High-Impact Training- Booth 114 (Exhibit Hall)

The Injured Firefighter and Gear-Removal Practices

There are complexities associated when dealing with an injured FF when they are wearing all their personal protective equipment (PPE).  The class will review best practices and techniques for PPE removal from an injured firefighter and transitioning the situation from firefighter removal to EMS care. 

Each participant will:

  • Gain hands-on experience of cutting and removal of actual firefighter PPE
  • Acquire the knowledge, understanding and skill of the gear removal best practice technique
  • Ability to transfer this training knowledge and technique to their department
  • Receive a CD copy of the presentation

NC State Fireman's Association- Booth 227 (Richardson Ballroom)

The mission of the North Carolina State Firefighters’ Association is to serve their 51,000+ members. The North Carolina State Firemen’s Association was chartered in 1887.  The name was changed to the North Carolina State Firefighters’ Association in 2016. The NCSFA is served by an Executive Board. The Executive Director is a non-voting member of the Board and serves at the pleasure of the Board.
